Even though Dubai and china have the tallest buildings but they still haven’t managed to make an appearance on the list of the top 7 highest monuments in the world.

1. Gateway Arch, St Louis, Missouri, USA –

A 630-foot tall monument, the Gateway Arch is situated in St Louis, Missouri, USA. This monument is covered in stainless steel and is built in the form of a weighted catenary arch. The Gateway Arch is the tallest and considered the most towering human-made monuments situated in the Western Hemisphere. Gateway Arch is also considered to be the Missouris tallest building that is accessible to the general population.

The Gateway Arch was built as a monument for the westward expansion of the united states and was dedicated to America’s people. It is commonly referred to as the Gateway to the west and is the Gateway Arch National park’s centerpiece. The monument is internationally recognized as the symbol if the St.louis and turned into a popular destination for tourists.

The Gateway Arch was designed by Eero Saarinen, a Finnish-American architect in the year of 1947: the construction of the monument began in 1963 on 12th February and was completed in1965 on 28th October.

2. San Jacinto Monument, La Porte, Texas, USA –

A 567.31-foot huge building, the San Jacinto Monument is located on the Houston ship channel in the harris county Texas in the US. The San Jacinto is topped with a 220-ton star, which commemorates the battle of San Jacinto and the battle of the Texas Revolution.

The San Jacinto Monument was constructed between 1936 and 1939 and is considered the world’s tallest masonry column. The monument is a part of the San Jacinto Battleground state historic site. The site is the tallest stone monument in the world. All the visitors can easily take the elevator and reach the monument’s observation deck and view the Houston and the battleship Texas.

3. Juche Tower, Pyongyang, North Korea

Situated on the east bank of the River Taedong, the Juche Tower is situated directly opposite the Kim II-sung square. The Juche Tower was built to commemorate the birthday of Kim II-sung (70th birthday)

The stone pagodas of Premodern Korea inspire the style of the tower. The torch situates on the top of the tower is lit, and just below the torch, there is a platform on which the entire view of the Pyongyang Is visible.

This beautiful structure, also known as the Washington monument, is a structure that proudly stands on the national mall from the year of 1884. The monument is one of the key tourist sights in Washington DC. The monument honors the first present of the united states, General George Washington, who died in 1797. The height of the monument is 169 meters, and the monument is built from marble and granite. It is also known as the tallest stone structure of the world and the tallest obelisk globally.

5. Cruz de los Caidos, San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Spain –

The Crux de Los caidos is the tallest monument in Europe and situated in Madrid’s Spanish capital city. The monument is a catholic basilica and is also known as the crowning glory and is about 150 meters high and stands up at the top of the structure. The tower’s cross can be seen from a distance of 20 miles and is situated in the Mediterranean parkland.

6. Victory Monument, Moscow, Russia –

In between the victory park in Moscow is the victory monument which was unveiled in the year of 1995. The height of the monument is about 141.8 meters. The monument is known for symbolizing the 1,418 days and wartime nights involved in world war 2. The stone obelisk features of the monument are a statue of st. George, who is slaying the dragon at the base, and the statue of Nike, known as the goddess of victory, is standing atop of the monument.

7. Pyramid of Khufu, Giza, Egypt –

The pyramid of Khufu is the oldest monument globally and dates back to 2532 C. This pyramid is also known as the great pyramid of Giza and is the oldest of the great pyramids in the world. The pyramid also comes under the seven wonders of the world. It was constructed as a tomb for the Pharos Khufu. The height of the pyramids is at 139 meters.

Mind you! These are numerous tall buildings in China and Dubai, and they can easily surpass the list.
